Lisa Sadleir-Hart
I’m a graduate of the 2002 Pacific Jubilee Program in Spiritual Direction and I attended Christine Painter’s expressive arts training for spiritual directors in 2007. I’m also a dedicated yoga student and teacher in the Yasodhara/Saraswati lineage (www.yasodhara.org), a food and nutrition educator and lover of and advocate for God’s glorious, fragile creation. I live a quiet, spacious life; one I’ve been fortunate to create with the support of my spouse. It allows for deep, daily reflection whether that be on my mat, on a trail, in the garden, or offering some form of teaching or listening. I’m honored to journey with others on the spiritual path and have been especially blessed to sit with young adults thanks to a wonderful Jesuit volunteer community in Alaska. I love to see their curious, inquisitive approach to spiritual life.
I adore birds and truly see them as messengers from the Divine. That’s why I dedicate time each day to watch and learn from them and to collect data about them as a citizen scientist. They are fragile, tender, and present just as every directee is to me. As a lover of God’s good, green earth, I’m committed to using my time, talent, and treasure towards bridging heaven and earth and helping others to learn to relish and take time in nature and defend her mightily. The earth needs our voices now more than ever.
