Cheryl Kinney Matheson

I am a graduate of Prairie Jubilee (Cycle 2), a member of Spiritual Directors International, and an Ordained Minister within the United Church of Canada, now retired.

I have been a Prairie Jubilee Instructor since Cycle 6 and learn from each Cycle and from each participant. I served congregations in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario for 28 years and attest to the way that Prairie Jubilee transformed my pastoral ministry, enabling me to speak about the inner life and offer the teachings of the enneagram and spiritual practices within my congregation and community.

My experience with the enneagram began with workshops offered by David Walsh and Carol Ann Gotch and I was a participant in their first Enntrain program, along with Dale. The metaphor of ‘Pilgrimage’, introduced to me in Cycle 2, resulted in my Camino Walk in 2011.  This was a walk of longing and many boons were brought home.

I enjoy small group opportunities for prayer/meditation/reflection and labyrinth walks, having become a Certified Labyrinth Facilitator through Veriditas during an in-person course at Chartres Cathedral in France.

My at home pastimes including reading, walking, camping, gardening, community theatre, knitting and rug hooking. I live with my husband Eric and our dog Hestia in a quiet location east of Kenora, Ontario. We have three adult children and three lively grandchildren who call me ‘Nana’ and engage me in the wonder of imaginative play.
