Touched by Words:
The Companionship of Poets IV

Online with Tim Scorer

Six Tuesdays: February 18, 25, March 4, 11, 18, 25, 2025

6 - 8 pm Pacific Time

With just a splash of words on a page, poets can take us to the heart of things. We suddenly see the concerns of a day or a lifetime through a frame of words that are full of spirit, meaning, and beauty. In these six Tuesday evenings, we will read poems and have conversations that naturally flow from the reading. The character of these meetings will be invitational, safe, reflective, and affirming. No previous positive experiences of poetry required!

This is the twelfth poetry series that Tim Scorer has offered through the partnership of Pacific Jubilee and Naramata Centre. Tim will choose a variety of poems for each of the six evenings organized around themes which generally emerge from the lively conversations of the group.

The cost for six sessions via Zoom is $224.00. Register before February 7 and receive 20% off listed prices.

Bursary Available: The Naramata Centre Heartwood Bursary is available for most programs, based on financial need. If cost is a barrier to participating in this program, please consider applying for the bursary. Click here to apply

Ages: 18+

Tim Scorer

At the heart of Tim’s practice is spiritual accompaniment: with individuals, with spiritual companions and elders, with groups and faith communities, in contemplative retreats, and now with lovers of poetry. His grounding is through active engagement with five grandchildren, gardening on a hillside on Bowen Island, participation in the life of a faith community, and deepening into the loving 58-year partnership he enjoys with Donna.
