Plant Communication – We Are All Connected

IN-PERSON WORKSHOP SERIES: with Rosemary Dzus

4 Monday Mornings, September 19, October 3, 24, November 7, 2022

“The world is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.” - W. B. Yeats

We tend to move through our lives with some confidence that scientific study has explained everything, or soon will. Discovery is in the hands of professionals, using their specialized skills, knowledge, and the scientific method. We as regular human beings, then, really have no part in this process.

Sometimes, we hear of or experience something inexplicable. Perhaps this has happened to you. Perhaps you have had the feeling that plants are more than insentient bunches of green matter. Perhaps you have heard the trees speaking to you. Perhaps you have been led to a place and found exactly the plant that you were thinking of or seeking. Perhaps you have finally realized that plants can indeed communicate with us, and are trying to tell us things. Or, perhaps you are intrigued by the idea of communicating with plants.

After many years of receiving such information and messages from plants, I have finally come to acknowledge these communications for what I believe they are: intentional. This has opened up a whole new way of looking at the world. What if, as we’ve been told by mystics throughout history, we are all one, we are all part of the same energy and cross-species communication, even with plants and beyond, is the way things were meant to be?

What if, indeed, the world is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper?

If you have had any of these mentioned experiences, or if you are just intrigued by the possibilities, please join me for a series of four workshops exploring the potential and practice of plant communication. Over these four sessions, through meditation and experiential work, we will seek out the green friends in our midst, and see what they might have to say to us.

Supplies: Please bring journaling material, drawing materials (sketchbook, at least 8 x 10-ish, pencil or pen, sharpener), and a gift for the plant (tobacco, cornmeal, water are all good).

This event is offered through the Inscapes Centre for Enneagram Studies

The cost for this event is what you can afford: $150 or $200 + GST

Rosemary Dzus, a recent graduate of the Prairie Jubilee program, and a student of the Enneagram since 1990, has had a life-long interest and fascination with plants. She has studied plants at both an academic and practical level, through Environmental Studies and herbalism, and has come to the realization that they are not bunches of insentient green matter, but rather have an intelligence and ways to communicate with us.
