Gathering Words for Winter II

online with Tim Scorer

Five Tuesdays: November 2 – 30, 2021

6:00 – 8:30 pm Pacific Time

Now that the fall harvest is in…

we can give ourselves to the winter months when earth rests. Our bodies will be sustained through the time of hibernation, but what of our souls? What sustenance will we choose for the season when the ancient ones call us into the world where story, myth and poetry are a sustaining power? Let’s take time to gather poems to take with us into the winter. Let’s follow the threads of five themes and see which poets emerge as our guides for these colder months. Let’s prepare to be surprised by the poetic instincts that rise in us when we take time to read poetry, share insights, and gather words for winter. Everyone is welcome – no previous participation in poetry groups is required.

Poems for each Tuesday evening will be sent out ahead of each session.

This event is offered through the partnership of Pacific Jubilee and Naramata Centre

The cost for five sessions via Zoom is $195. Online pass holders pay $0.00 for this course (price included in purchase of pass, maximum two guests)

Ages: 18+
