Ennea-Lab II Study Group - A Dive Into the Heart

Ennea-Lab II Study Group:
A Dive Into the Heart

November 15, December 20, January 17, February 21, March 13, April 17, May 15, June 12, June 26, 2024

LAB or LABORATORY
”a place set apart for scientific experiments, testing or practice.”
Let’s get experimental with the Enneagram!

The enneagram helps us recognize the places in our lives where we have adopted patterns for living.  We call these compulsions. When we recognizing these patterns, we are able to slow down and choose a different way of meeting life.  This helps us in extending kindness and compassion to those we love and to ourselves.

Our patterned way of living runs deep, though. So deep that we have each developed inner defenses that try to keep us enslaved to our compulsions. These defense mechanisms can look like they are trying to keep us safe, but they may also be keeping us numb to our deeper work. They protect our hearts, often keeping us from evolving fully into our true selves and helping us build resilience.

Over nine months we will move into the “heart” laboratory. Where we will experiment with the enneagram in an embodied and emotionally engaged way, each month exploring one of the defense mechanisms through awareness practices. These will provide us with practical ways to work with our feeling centre and break down the unconscious hold our defense mechanisms have on us.

This study group will:

  • Be an opportunity to dive deeper into understanding how we avoid connecting with our hearts.

  • Reveal how we are taken away from exploring and expressing our feelings.

  • Help us discover fresh ways of listening to self and others.

  • Teach practices that help us cultivate new ways of engaging the world.

You will never look at your enneagram number in the same way.

This event is offered through the Inscapes Centre for Enneagram Studies

The cost for each session is $75 per class. Discounts are available for those in need. Please contact Dale to find out more.

Ramona Pauls - Enneagram Winnipeg

Ramona Pauls completed the Prairie Jubilee Program and has been studying the enneagram for some years, completing Enntrain: Inspirited and Embodied Enneagram training program this summer. Her spiritual roots are Christian, mostly found in the Mennonite church, and she has been on her own deconstruction journey, reinterpreting and reclaiming what holds true for her today. She has found much wisdom in other traditions and particularly in the mystic teachings.

Dale Bially has worked extensively with the enneagram in his professional and personal life since 1993. Under the guidance of his mentors Carol Ann Gotch and David Walsh (students of Bob Ochs), he completed the Enntrain: Inspirited and Embodied Enneagram training program in 2012 and began teaching workshops and study groups with Inscapes Centre for Enneagram Studies. In 2012 he began working with the leadership team of Prairie Jubilee, to train spiritual directors and help other seekers find the truth of whom they are and how to live differently making our world a better place.
